Um. Yes, please! With Insidious 2 about to hit theaters, Film District has announced that participating theaters will be hosting a double feature night called, “The Ultimate Insidious Experience.” The one night event will give fans the chance to watch the first film followed by an exclusive early viewing of the sequel.

“The Ultimate Insidious Experience” will hit theaters on Thursday, September 12 in select theaters nationwide. If you don’t want to sit through the double feature but still want an early viewing of the sequel, fans will have the option to buy a ticket for the double feature OR buy a single ticket to the sequel. Check your local theatre listings for participating theatres near you. Tickets can be purchased online or at your local theatre. For a list of participating theatres, visit InsidiousCh2.com.

From director James Wan, Insidious 2 continues directly from the first film. Jim Orr, President of Distribution for FilmDistrict, said,

“Insidious: Chapter 2 picks up exactly where the original left off – making a double feature all the more gratifying. As we open the next chapter, this gives ‘Insidious’ fans the chance to take the edge-of-their-seat thrill ride to the next level.”

The plot of the sequel reunites us with the Lambert family after Josh went into the Further to get his son Dalton back. However, the paranormal events continue to occur, which become more and more terrifying. When the family begins to notice strange behavior from the father, they start to wonder; is it really Josh that came back from the Further?
