“Breaking Bad” Creator Dicusses Jesse Pinkman’s Fate

I think we all like to assume that the “Breaking Bad” character, Jesse Pinkman, got away in the end. That he was free, that he made it to Alaska, and everything was perfect. However, that is likely not the case if we think about things realistically and recently, the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan, talked about the character’s fate.

In the finale, which you can see the final 30 seconds for Jesse above, we see him speeding away in a car, hysterical and somewhat happy. According to Gilligan, though, this happy ending is followed by the strong possibility that the  authorities aren’t too far behind.

“My personal feeling is that he got away,” Gilligan said in an interview with GQ. “But the most likely thing, as negative as this sounds, is that they’re going to find this kids fingerprints all over this lab and they’re going to find him within a day of a week or a month. And he’s still going to be on the hook for the murder of two federal agents.”

Let’s just pretend he made it to Alaska, shall we?
